DESCRIPTION
Bert Gallery at Corliss Landing was founded in 1985 and celebrates its twenty-first
year in business promoting regional American artists from the late
19th century to the present day. With exhibitions, publications
and lectures the gallery has been a pioneer, featuring those artists
who have only begun to emerge from the shadows of time. The work
exhibited reflect the fertile artistic community that existed in
the late 19th-century Providence metropolis. It was a community
that nurtured many talented artists now taking their place in the
register of our national heritage.
Shop ‘til you Drop! One of our most enthusiastic
guides, Sarah Tallarico (the West Side Tour Guide) will be
leading our second annual November Shopping Tour. The tour will visit a selection
of galleries from each route and leave plenty of time for browsing and purchasing
unique gifts.
From Sarah - "I am a local artist who has been working
for Gallery Night as a tour guide for three years and I absolutely love it!
I look forward to guiding the shopping tour once again this year which gives
participants a unique opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind gifts for those
art lovers and special people in your life. The Holidays are right around the
corner, let's start celebrating next Thursday in anticipation!"
The tour starts from Citizens Plaza at 5:30 pm.
